Phil Collins Time

Flat mate C: “Elena! Are you leaving?”
Me: “Yes, I am. Why?”
Flat mate C: “It is not because I was playing Phil Collins, is it?”
Me: “Mmmm, no. But it definitely helps”
Flat mate C: “Oh. My Phil Collins day has just started”
Me: “Yes, I could hear you snapping your fingers. Enjoy!”

Flat mate A: “Today I read that it has just been published the first book about emo people”
Flat mate B: “What is emo?”
Flat mate A to me: “I think you are a kind of emo…”
Me: “I am not emo!”
Flat mate B: “What is emo?”
Flat mate A: “Yes, you are. Always a kind of sad … you just need a couple of piercings…”
Me: “I am not EMO!”
Flat mate B: “What is emo?”
Flat mate A: “You are”
Me: “Only because I wear black it doesnt’ mean I am emo!”
Flat mate B: “What is emo?”
Flat mate A: “I also read that metal guys beat emo people”
Me: “Yes, but I am not… ”
Flat mate A: “You are. And I am metal. I will punch you”.

If, like many people, you are thinking that it is just made to show that I have fun in London.. well, maybe.
But I had fun just making it. I just realized that I probably choosed the wrong career. Shit.

What January means

Roommates in and out the house – work and gym – and you, setting in front of your Mac, trying reporting, black hood on, Night of the living dead t-shirt, listening to Elliott Smith, watching Ryan air website every ten minutes. Boiled vegetables, vitamins, herb tea, snowballs and snowmen.
“YOU are the living dead!”

Into the Woods.

Woods “To clean”.
Maybe it was beacuse of the atmosphere of the Lexington, a nice english pub in Islington, maybe it was because of my sunday emotional and vulnerable mood, but still now if I feel shivers down my back if I think about it. Woods are a warm hug in a windy day, a slap on the back in the hardest moment. Here you can find all you need to feel better.Enjoy it.

Crystal Stilts – Departure

It is not so easy to explain why I did not see them. I was there, at the Primavera Sound, I mean. And they were there as well. They played not one, but twice. I had three days and two chance to see them live. And I didn’t. And I really like them, for real. I just remember me riding a bike: I am late, the Lighting Bolt’s show is going to begin. Ride, ride, ride. Ride faster. And then too many shows, too many people to meet, to many beers. Just not enough hours sleeping. And so, I didnt’s see them.
But I was living in Barcelona – sunny amazing Barcelona – and it was endurable. Now I live in London and it is not endurable anymore.
